Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a high-volume distribution in Normanton who are looking enthusiastic and proactive HSE Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for workplace safety, compliance, and continuous improvement to join a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the HSE Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards, and supporting operational teams in achieving HSE objectives. This is a fantastic opportunity for a health & safety professional with a couple of years experience who is looking to to take the next step. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of Health, Safety & Environmental systems and procedures
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Assist with accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Maintain HSE records, reports, and compliance documentation
  • Deliver safety inductions and support training initiatives across the site
  • Monitor compliance with company policies, ISO standards, and relevant legislation
  • Support environmental initiatives including waste management, sustainability, and environmental compliance
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement, communication, and awareness campaigns
  • Assist with emergency preparedness activities and first aid coordination
  • Work collaboratively with managers and employees to drive continuous improvement in HSE performance
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in a Health, Safety & Environmental role within manufacturing, engineering, logistics, or industrial sectors
  • Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience conducting audits and risk assessments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Self-motivated with a hands-on approach to problem solving
Desirable Qualifications
  • NEBOSH General Certificate of IOSH 
  • Some knowledge of ISO45001 would be advantageous 
  • Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment 
  • Experience with continuous improvement or Lean methodologies
