Elevation Recruitment Group are working exclusively with a well-established manufacturing business in Sheffield to recruit an experienced and proactive HSE Co-ordinator.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Health, Safety & Environmental professional to join a fast-paced production environment and play a key role in driving a positive safety culture across the business.

Reporting to the IMS Manager, you will support the ongoing development, implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental systems, ensuring compliance with legislation and ISO 45001 standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a positive HSE culture throughout the business
  • Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, training and safety communications
  • Conduct risk assessments, COSHH assessments and develop Safe Systems of Work
  • Support and maintain the ISO 45001 management system
  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits and compliance checks
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying corrective actions
  • Monitor HSE KPIs and produce reports for management
  • Ensure compliance with HSE legislation including RIDDOR, COSHH and HASAW
  • Support contractor control and HSE requirements during factory projects and site changes
  • Coordinate health surveillance activities alongside HR
  • Assist with wider Quality and Environmental initiatives when required
About You

We are looking for a hands-on and organised individual who enjoys working closely with production teams and influencing positive behavioural change across site.

You will ideally have:

  • NEBOSH Certificate 
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience working with ISO 45001 management systems and auditing
  • Knowledge of UK HSE legislation and compliance requirements
  • Strong communication and training delivery skills
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • A methodical approach with strong attention to detail
  • Experience with Lean, 5S, Kaizen or continuous improvement tools would be advantageous
