Job Title: Inspires Mentor
Location: Leicester (King Power Stadium & community sites)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Fixed-Term (12 months)

Leicester City in the Community has a fantastic opportunity for an Inspires Mentor to join our dynamic team on a fixed-term basis.
About The Role
This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to make a real, lasting difference in young people’s lives. As an Inspires Mentor, you will deliver the Premier League Inspires programme, working with KS3 and KS4 students who need extra support to re-engage with education. You’ll play a vital role in helping young people rebuild confidence, raise aspirations and overcome barriers to learning. You’ll work closely with students who may be underachieving, disengaged, or facing challenges in and out of school, empowering them to see their potential and create a more positive future.
Key Duties
·Use the power of the Leicester City Football Club brand to engage young people who are hard to reach or at risk of disengagement
·Deliver 1:1 and small group mentoring sessions to support re-engagement in education
·Develop and deliver high-quality, engaging learning resources and intervention sessions
·Support young people to improve confidence, behaviour, attendance and overall wellbeing
·Work collaboratively with schools and external agencies to provide holistic support
·Build strong, trusted relationships with young people over time
·Monitor and track progress, ensuring accurate data management and reporting
·Contribute to detailed internal and external reports
·Represent LCitC at meetings, events and community activities when required
·Identify, report and resolve issues in collaboration with the Inspires Coordinator and senior team

Essential Requirements
·Experience working with young people in an educational or community setting
·Proven ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
·Understanding of the challenges facing disengaged or vulnerable young people
·Ability to recognise and challenge discrimination and promote equality and inclusion
·Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection standards
·Willingness to undertake required training (Safeguarding, Equality & Diversity, Health & Safety)
·Ability to travel independently across Leicester and surrounding areas
·Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references
Desirable
·HLTA, Learning Mentor or Youth Work qualification (Level 2/3 or above)
·Degree in a relevant subject area
·Safeguarding certification
·Emergency First Aid qualification
You may be required to work outside of normal office hours, including evenings and weekends.
Location
LCitC is based at King Power Stadium, Leicester. Delivery will take place at partner schools and community venues, with some homeworking required. You must be able to travel across Leicester and Charnwood.
