π The Opportunity
We're recruiting for an experienced and hands-on Installation & Service Engineer to join a well-established and growing engineering team.
This role offers a great balance between workshop-based work in Hull and working away on installations (approx. 50/50 split). You'll play a key role within the installation team while also supporting service and maintenance activities across customer sites.
π This position would suit someone with solid experience and a professional approach, who can work independently and contribute positively to a skilled team environment.
π What You'll Be Doing
Carrying out mechanical installation and assembly work both in-house and on-site
Supporting full equipment installs across the UK and overseas
Assisting with servicing, maintenance, and repairs of equipment
Diagnosing faults and delivering effective, timely solutions
Reading and interpreting engineering and electrical drawings
Supporting basic electrical panel wiring and panel build work
Conducting site surveys, install checks, and commissioning activities
Working collaboratively within the shopfloor team in Hull
Delivering a high level of customer service when on-site
Completing job reports and documentation accurately
Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety standards
π§ What We're Looking For
β Strong mechanical engineering background
β Previous experience in installation and/or service engineering roles
β Confident fault-finding and problem-solving ability
β Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
β A professional, reliable, and experienced approach to work
β Good communication skills and ability to liaise with customers
β Flexible and willing to work away from home when required
β Electrical knowledge or experience (advantageous but not essential)
π Travel & Working Pattern
Roughly 50% workshop-based (Hull) / 50% working away
UK travel with regular overnight stays (Monday-Friday when required)
