Job Role

Responsible for delivering successful installations on all projects for a JOINERY FIT OUT COMPANY whilst achieving the cost, program, Quality and Health and safety requirements.

You will offer a reference point for any queries or problems from site based employees and site managers.

Main Responsibilities

  • To be involved in the planning and scheduling of the installation teams.
  • To be aware of the future workload and to manage both the installations teams and allocation of the fixing resources.
  • Manage the pre-construction phase including.
    • H&S PCH&S documentation.
    • Initial pre-start site surveys and H&S inspections.
    • Delivery constraints, logistical requirements, and specific hazards.
    • Contribute to the Scope of Works for inclusion in a specific RA&MS
    • Contribute to installation programme and lead on site labour forecasts.

  • Regular visits to all sites to ensure that the delivery of each project is on target.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients where specific issues of installation require.
  • To liaise with the Commercial Manager to ensure that the financial reporting is maintained on a 2-weekly basis.
    • Monitor hours and productivity and compare with project allowances and implement controls/action, as necessary.
    • Ensure detailed recording of hours including all additional works including any non-recoverable items.
    • Drive productivity to deliver all projects within labour allowances/forecast.
  • To manage the Site Managers and support with any decision-making process regarding.
    • Scheduling of deliveries.
    • Guidance of priorities of installation and manufacture.
    • Labour sourcing and movement.
    • Technical assistance.
    • Equipment Hire.
    • H&S advice.
    • Quality Assurance

The Candidate

The position requires someone who has a strong background in joinery and installation and who is conscientious, has good communication skills, must be organised, can think on their feet and deal with queries in a professional and confidential manner.

Be able to work within a close team environment but equally needs to be confident to make decisions and work well on their own.

  • Supervisory Training (achieved or to be planned).
  • SMSTS and CSCS certification to be maintained.
  • Good Joinery and general manufacture skill level.
