Description
- Support the delivery of category objectives aligned to the wider procurement strategy
- Contribute to category and product group strategies to improve supply chain performance, reduce risk, and create competitive advantage
- Analyse product ranges and routes to market to maximise value for customers and the organisation
- Produce accurate reports by gathering and analysing data from multiple sources
- Monitor market trends, innovations, and supplier developments to support decision-making
- Support new product launches through insights into industry and consumer trends
- Collate and analyse key data including cost drivers, market dynamics, and supplier options
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver high-quality customer service, resolving complex queries and identifying opportunities to add value
Profile
A successful Category Manager should have:
- Proven experience running end to end procurement within public sector.
- Knowledge of PA23 and proven experience using the new regulations.
- A strong understanding of category management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ideally experience with Hard FM, ICT and other indirects.
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret market data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Job Offer
