Interim Commercial Accountant | 3-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Salary: Up to £55,000 (pro rata)
Location: Scunthorpe | Hybrid Working (1-2 days office based)

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing organisation in the search for an Interim Commercial Accountant to join their finance team immediately on a 3-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to step into a commercially focused role, partnering closely with operational stakeholders and providing valuable financial insight to support business performance and decision-making.

With flexible hybrid working and a collaborative environment, this role would suit either a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or an experienced Qualified by Experience (QBE) finance professional with strong commercial acumen.

• Act as the key finance business partner to operational and commercial stakeholders
• Produce monthly management accounts, forecasts and financial reports
• Deliver meaningful analysis, commentary and insights to support strategic decision-making
• Monitor business performance, profitability and key financial metrics
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning activities
• Provide challenge and support to budget holders and operational managers
• Review financial data, identify trends and make recommendations to improve performance
• Lead and support process improvement initiatives across finance and operations
• Assist with business planning, scenario modelling and financial forecasting
• Support year-end activities and liaise with auditors where required

We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience in a Commercial Accountant, Finance Business Partner or Management Accountant role
• Strong management accounting and financial analysis skills
• Experience partnering with non-finance stakeholders and influencing decision-making
• The ability to interpret complex financial information and present it clearly
• Strong Excel and systems skills
• A proactive and commercially minded approach
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
