Interim Financial Controller

This is a broad, highly visible role where you will take full ownership of the finance function’s day-to-day financial operations and will report directly to the Finance Director.
The key roles and responsibilities for this person will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day finance operations
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
- Provide financial insight and analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Full responsibility for the month end management accounts and financial reporting
- Supporting the year end and liaising with external auditors to deal with any queries
- Partnering with senior leadership to drive business performance and profitability
- Cashflow management
- Budgeting and forecasting.
- Reviewing P+Ls and providing financial insights to the wider business.
- Improve financial systems, reporting tools, and processes for efficiency
- Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/AAT)
- Strong technical, commercial and management accounting experience
- Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills
- Previous experience managing or mentoring finance staff
- High attention to detail
This role would suit a qualified, technically strong and commercially minded Financial Controller who thrives in a fast-moving environment. You’ll be a strong people manager, comfortable rolling up your sleeves and able to hit the ground running from day one.
