We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and reputable care organisation for an experienced Interim Service Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality, person-centred support within an Extra Care service.

The Role

As Service Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring care delivery is safe, effective, and aligned with best practice and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day service delivery, ensuring consistently high standards
  • Deliver outcome-focused, person-centred care aligned with best practice
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory standards and local authority requirements
  • Manage, support, and develop staff through supervision, appraisal, and training
  • Oversee audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders
  • Support individuals to access community opportunities and promote independence
  • Manage employee relations matters, including absence, performance, and investigations
  • Participate in on-call duties as required

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Service Manager (or similar leadership) role within health & social care
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and relevant legislation
  • Sound understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding practices
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
