Develop Your Technical Expertise on Complex Projects from Concept to Completion Are you an Electrical Design Engineer looking for an opportunity to broaden your experience, develop your technical skills and gain exposure to a wider range of projects?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing Principal Contractor where you'll work alongside experienced engineers and project teams, gaining involvement throughout the full project lifecycle rather than being restricted to a single stage of the design process.
Working across sectors including healthcare, industrial, medical and specialist commercial environments, you'll contribute to technically challenging projects that will help accelerate your development as an engineer. The Role
- Assist in the delivery of electrical building services designs across a range of projects.
- Support projects through RIBA Stages 1–6, from concept design through to completion.
- Produce electrical design calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
- Work closely with senior engineers, project managers and installation teams.
- Attend design and coordination meetings with clients and project stakeholders.
- Support the development of innovative and practical engineering solutions.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations and project requirements.
- Gain exposure to the full design and construction process within a Principal Contractor environment.
- Degree and proven experience within Electrical Building Services Design.
- Understanding of electrical building services systems and design principles.
- Experience using industry-standard design software.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Desire to continue learning and developing technically.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Relevant engineering qualification preferred.
