The Team & Focus of the Role
We have a brand new role for an Internal Communications Administrator/Coordinator to come and join our team! Working within our People Experience function, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating our intranet, writing and producing internal communications such as news articles and updates in a clear, engaging and professional style and providing support for internal events.
You will also support in the creation of a range of communications materials, managing the Internal Communications inbox, and providing day-to-day communications support to our wider teams, helping colleagues produce clear and well-written materials, ensuring the content meets a consistently high standard.
This is a full time (37.5 hours), permanent role, based at our Head Office in Ashby de la Zouch, but we can also consider Birmingham and Stafford as office locations. We also operate a hybrid working policy.

Duties will include:
- Maintain and update intranet ensuring content remains accurate, accessible and easy to navigate, while proactively identifying and implementing improvements to support colleagues in finding information efficiently.
- Manage the Internal Communications inbox, responding to colleague enquiries and requests and delegating to appropriate colleagues when necessary.
- Write and produce internal communications including news articles and updates in a clear, engaging and professional style, ensuring content is accurate, well-structured and aligned to agreed messaging and Fisher German tone of voice.
- Support the Internal Communications Manager in the creation of a range of communications materials, including digital assets, user guides, presentations, posters and colleague updates, ensuring they are delivered to a high standard, are clear and consistent, and meet the needs of different audiences and initiatives.
- Take ownership of the weekly ‘Water Cooler’ newsletter, ensuring content is engaging, relevant and delivered on time, while supporting ongoing enhancements to improve its effectiveness.
- Provide support for internal events, including managing delegate information, proofing and formatting presentations, and assisting on the day to ensure events run smoothly and professionally.
- Provide day-to-day communications support to the wider People team and Shared Services, helping colleagues produce clear, well-written materials and ensuring content meet a consistently high standard.
The successful candidate will have...
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Word)
- Strong attention to detail
- Proactive and organised
- A positive attitude and an ability to build strong interpersonal relationships
- Collaborative and supportive
- Experience in a communications, marketing, HR or administrative role with a strong focus on written content
- A-levels (or equivalent) or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Communications, Marketing, English or HR would be beneficial.
