Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking an experienced IT Test Analyst to support the delivery of high‑quality IT systems and services across the organisation.

Job Overview

In this role, you will work closely with the IT Test Manager, project teams, and key stakeholders to ensure all IT solutions meet defined business, functional, and client requirements. You will play a key role in verifying quality, reliability, and performance throughout the full testing lifecycle.

The position is well suited to a detail‑oriented individual with strong analytical skills and proven experience in structured software testing environments. You will contribute to both project delivery and the ongoing improvement of testing practices across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret business, functional, and technical requirements to understand acceptance criteria.
  • Design, prepare, and execute structured test cases and test scripts.
  • Carry out functional, regression, and integration testing activities.
  • Identify, log, track, and retest defects, working closely with developers to confirm fixes.
  • Support the setup, validation, and maintenance of test environments and test data.
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up‑to‑date test documentation.
  • Provide regular testing progress updates and reporting to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure the smooth delivery of testing activities and outcomes.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience with formal testing processes, including test plans, scripts, documentation, and governance frameworks.
  • Ability to follow structured testing methodologies and deliver outputs to agreed standards.
  • Strong general IT background.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Organised and methodical approach to managing testing activities and documentation.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement of testing processes and practices.
