We’re recruiting for experienced Java Engineers with strong experience working with Legacy Java versions (Ideally Java 8). This 6-Month contract is determined as Inside IR35 and is offered on a Hybrid remote basis requiring 1/2 days per week of onsite work in Swindon or London.
Key Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Java 8 or similar legacy Java frameworks
- Solid skills in SQL, Spring Boot, and Hibernate development practices
- Proven ability to build microservices and reliable RESTful APIs
- Hands‑on experience applying TDD and BDD testing approaches
- Good understanding of clean coding principles, SOLID, and cloud technologies
- Previous experience in Finance/Fintech/Payments is highly beneficial
- Design, implement, and thoroughly test new enhancements across the platform
- Lead feature development from initial concept through to final delivery
- Produce high‑quality software that consistently meets performance expectations
- Resolve technical issues promptly to ensure continued platform stability
- Contribute ideas that evolve and improve the overall product architecture
