About Red Event Production
Red Event Production is a technical event production company delivering lighting, audio, video, staging, LED, broadcast and event infrastructure for live events across the UK.
We are a growing, ambitious and hands-on team with a strong focus on quality, detail and relationships. We care about how things are done – from the way equipment is prepared, to how projects leave the warehouse, to how events are delivered on site.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated Junior AV Warehouse Technician to join our team and support the preparation, maintenance and delivery of equipment for a wide range of live events.
The Role
This is a hands-on role based primarily from our brand-new facility near Bedford.
You will play an important part in ensuring our equipment is prepared, tested, organised and ready to perform on events across the UK. Working closely with the Warehouse Manager and wider production team, you'll help maintain the standards and attention to detail that our clients expect from Red.
Whilst predominantly warehouse-based, there will also be opportunities to attend site, support deliveries and assist with event setups when required.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Preparation and Maintenance:
- Prepare, test and pack audio, lighting, video and staging equipment for upcoming productions.
- De-prep, check and return equipment following events.
- Ensure equipment is presented to a high standard and ready for deployment.
- Report damaged, faulty or missing equipment to the Warehouse Manager.
- Assist with basic maintenance and equipment care.
Warehouse Operations:
- Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked warehouse environment.
- Assist with stock control and equipment organisation.
- Ensure projects are packed accurately and efficiently.
- Support the wider warehouse team with day-to-day operations.
Deliveries and Logistics:
- Safely drive company vehicles and deliver equipment to event locations.
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring equipment is handled carefully and safely.
- Support event logistics and transport requirements when required.
About You
We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a practical approach to work.
You don't need years of industry experience, but you do need to be reliable, hardworking and comfortable getting stuck in. You'll enjoy working as part of a team, take pride in your work and understand the importance of attention to detail when handling valuable equipment.
You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
This is a junior entry level role, a great opportunity for someone with the right mind set to make a first step and learn/grow from colleagues and peers.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Full UK Driving Licence with a clean driving record.
- Positive, can-do attitude.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Practical and hands-on approach.
- Comfortable with the physical demands of warehouse work.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and organised.
- Fun to work with and supportive of colleagues.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in AV, events, theatre, production or warehouse environments.
- Interest in audio, lighting, video or event technology.
- Experience driving vans or supporting logistics operations.
- Familiarity with inventory or warehouse management systems.
What We're Looking For
The right person will be:
- Positive and enthusiastic.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Easy to get along with.
- Willing to learn and develop new skills.
- Detail-focused and organised.
- Happy to work as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a busy and fast-moving environment.
- Flexible and adaptable in their approach.
- Flexibility to work additional hours as required and support out of hours operations as needed.
Why Join Red
