Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be supporting a well-established and growing business in Doncaster with the recruitment of a Junior Buyer.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious procurement professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the wider procurement and supply chain team, supporting purchasing activities and supplier management across the business.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the procurement team with day-to-day purchasing activities
- Raise and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Build strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Monitor stock levels and supplier performance
- Assist with sourcing new suppliers and negotiating pricing where appropriate
- Resolve delivery issues and invoice queries efficiently
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and system data
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function
- Previous experience within a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and relationship-building abilities
- A proactive and positive approach to work
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel
- A desire to develop a long-term career within procurement
- CIPS qualification or studying towards this would be advantageous
- Salary up to £35,000
