Junior Estimator

Location: Stevenage Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 (depending on experience) Employment Type: Full‑time, Permanent

Our client, a specialist glazing company based in Stevenage, is seeking a motivated and detail‑driven Junior Estimator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with early-stage construction knowledge who is eager to develop their estimating skills within a technical, fast‑paced environment.

• Tender Analysis — Extract relevant information, quantities, and measurements from tender documentation.

• Logikal Software Use — Assist in producing accurate estimates using Logikal; previous experience is highly desirable.

• CAD Interpretation — Read and interpret CAD drawings, ensuring accurate dimensions and specifications are captured.

• Project Specification Review — Understand and apply project specifications to ensure estimates align with technical requirements.

• Cost Estimation — Support the preparation of quotations, cost breakdowns, and material take‑offs.

• Collaboration — Work closely with senior estimators, project managers, and the design team to ensure accuracy and consistency.

• Documentation — Maintain organised records of estimates, revisions, and supporting documents.

• Construction Knowledge — Understanding of construction processes, ideally within glazing, façades, or similar technical sectors.

• Logikal Experience — Prior use of Logikal is a strong advantage.

• CAD Skills — Ability to read and dimension CAD drawings (full CAD proficiency beneficial but not essential).

• Attention to Detail — Strong accuracy when reviewing technical documents and measurements.

• Numerical Ability — Comfortable working with measurements, calculations, and technical data.

• Communication — Clear written and verbal communication skills.

• IT Literacy — Competent with Microsoft Office and industry‑specific software.

• Experience in the glazing, aluminium systems, or construction products sector.

• Understanding of project lifecycles, installation processes, or fabrication workflows.

• Exposure to estimating, procurement, or technical administration.
