Junior Fire Door Operations Manager

Our client is looking to appoint a Junior Fire Door Operations manager to oversee carpentry works with a focus on fire door compliance and associated projects.

This role is suited to someone stepping up from a supervisory or site-based position who wants to take on more responsibility across both delivery and operations.

The Role:

  • Oversee multiple carpentry and fire door projects from mobilisation through to completion
  • Manage site teams and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered on time and to required standards
  • Produce programmes of works and coordinate day-to-day site activity
  • Ensure all works are compliant with relevant standards, including BM TRADA requirements
  • Carry out quality checks, audits and sign-off of completed works
  • Attend client and site meetings, acting as a key point of contact
  • Support with pricing works, building schedules of rates and reviewing tender information
  • Prepare applications for payment and maintain accurate project records
  • Order materials and manage site stock levels
  • Work closely with H&S teams to ensure RAMS and site compliance are maintained

Requirements:

  • Background in carpentry or joinery, ideally with fire door experience
  • Experience in a supervisory, foreman or site-based leadership role
  • Good understanding of fire door compliance and installation standards
  • Ability to manage teams, programmes and client expectations
  • Commercial awareness with some exposure to pricing or estimating advantageous
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
