Roles/Responsibilities
- Assist with the commercial management of legal disrepair and maintenance contracts under senior supervision.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of CVRs, forecasting, and profitability reporting.
- Assist with monthly applications, valuations, and cash flow management.
- Learn to price works using the NHF Schedule of Rates with increasing confidence and accuracy.
- Support the commercial control of work orders and variations.
- Assist with reviewing validation surveys and identifying commercial risks.
- Support subcontract procurement and supply chain administration activities.
- Work closely with operational teams and clients to ensure efficient project delivery and strong working relationships.
- Assist with minor direct delivery works where required.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting documentation.
Qualifications
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
- 1–2 years’ post-graduate experience within a Quantity Surveying or commercial support role preferred.
- Previous exposure to social housing, planned maintenance, or reactive maintenance environments is advantageous but not essential.
- Understanding of valuations, applications, cost reporting, and commercial processes.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proactive, commercially aware, and eager to learn within a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with operational, supply chain, and client teams.
