Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a highly capable Key Account Director to lead a £36m per annum facilities management contract within the healthcare and NHS sector.
This is a pivotal senior leadership role overseeing multi-site FM operations and ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, compliant and efficient services across three major hospital locations. The role requires a confident, resilient leader with deep experience in healthcare FM and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, complex environment.
The successful candidate will oversee two Key Account Managers and play a critical role in retention, commercial delivery and the mobilisation of new services. Operating across three main sites, the Key Account Director will ensure service excellence, build strong strategic relationships and drive operational performance and growth.
Multi-site role covering:
- Chelsea & Westminster Hospital
- Royal Marsden Hospital
- Sutton Hospital
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver on mobilisation commitments following a new 10‑year contract win at Royal Marsden.
- Lead, mentor and empower two Key Account Managers across multiple NHS Trust locations.
- Build and maintain a strategic partnership between the organisation and key stakeholders, ensuring seamless operational alignment.
- Drive consistent operational performance across all sites, ensuring service excellence and full compliance with Trust expectations.
- Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting and achievement of commercial targets.
- Ensure accurate contract information is maintained and convert data insights into continuous service improvement.
- Enhance stakeholder engagement through structured communication aligned to Trust values and the account development plan.
- Promote innovation and best practice, representing the organisation at internal and Trust-wide meetings.
Professional & Personal Competencies
- Currently operating at Key Account Director level or in a similar senior FM leadership role.
- Proven experience of leading Soft FM teams in a Healthcare / NHS setting is essential.
- Experience managing large, complex organisations with multiple stakeholders and varied expectations.
- Strong financial acumen, with expertise in budgeting, reporting and performance management.
- Skilled in SLA management, KPI reporting and contract compliance.
- Effective people leader with strong decision‑making skills and an action‑orientated approach.
- Degree‑level education or qualified by experience.
- Full UK driving licence required.
