Seeking a Kitchen Assistant looking for their next challenge!
You will be joining the team at a reputable care home. Supporting preparation of nutritious, well-balanced meals for approximately 40 residents while ensuring high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality. The Kitchen Assistant helps create a pleasant dining experience while supporting the health and wellbeing of residents.
Offering competitive hourly rates of £13-14 per hour based on skill and experience.
The main hours worked are between 09:00-14:00, shifts are flexible throughout the week.
We welcome motivated kitchen assistants who are:
- Able to work within a team and independently
- Able to work confidently in busy or unfamiliar kitchens
- Reliable, punctual, and professionally presented
- Strong communicators who work well under pressure
- Knowledgeable about food safety and hygiene procedures
- Caring and attentive approach to residents' needs.
Your role may include but not be limited to:
- Assist with basic food preparation and meal service.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and dining areas.
- Store food correctly and rotate stock as required.
- Follow food safety, health, and safety procedures.
- Support the Cook with meal preparation and kitchen tasks.
