Polytec are seeking a proactive and hands-on Laboratory Technician to join our Cambridge based client. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will provide essential laboratory expertise and practical support across a diverse portfolio of projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions from early-stage concepts through to manufacturing. 

This role could suit someone in the early stages of their career looking to train and develop. 

Responsibilities:
•    Maintain laboratory facilities, ensuring a safe, organised and efficient working environment
•    Perform routine laboratory housekeeping and equipment maintenance
•    Conduct daily and weekly equipment inspections and checks
•    Carry out verification testing and evaluation of systems and devices under development
•    Prepare stock and working solutions to support project activities within wet laboratory environments
•    Record, analyse and communicate test results accurately to project teams and stakeholders
•    Follow standard operating procedures and comply with health and safety requirements at all times
•    Support mechanical rig assembly and testing activities where required

Requirements:
•    Ideally previous experience working within a laboratory, test house, manufacturing or quality assurance environment
•    Practical laboratory skills with a methodical and safety-conscious approach
•    Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and project demands simultaneously
•    A proactive and self-motivated attitude with strong problem-solving abilities
•    The flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•    Confidence working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
•    Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
