Your role is helping them justify them properly.
As a Secondary Law Teacher, you will teach KS4 and KS5 students how to understand legal principles, apply them to scenarios, and structure clear, analytical written responses.
Key responsibilities
Teach Law across KS4 and KS5
Explain legal concepts and case law clearly
Support structured essay writing and analysis
Prepare students for GCSE or A-Level exams
Encourage logical thinking and evaluation
Track progress and provide feedback
Maintain organised and focused lessons
The classroom environment
Lessons are structured and academically focused
Students understand how to apply knowledge
Discussion is controlled and purposeful
Behaviour is calm and consistent
Skills and experience
Strong background in Law or legal studies
Clear explanation and analytical skills
Experience teaching or strong subject knowledge
Confident classroom management
What success looks like
Students develop structured written responses
Confidence increases in applying knowledge
Improved exam performance
QTS is desirable
