Lawyer – Adult Social Care – Local Authority

Rate - negotiable depending on experience

Fully remote working - Required to cover hearings both remotely and, where required by the court, in person.

3 months initial contract – likely to be extended

Job Responsibilities:

• All aspects of advice and support under Care Act 2014 
• Court applications in the Court of Protection under the Mental Capacity Act 2005
• Mental Health Law including advice to Approved Mental Health Professionals and associated court applications
• Adult safeguarding 
• Ordinary residence issues and disputes between other local authorities. 
• Required to cover hearings both remotely and, where required by the court, in person.

You must have:

• Qualified Lawayer
• Experience of working directly within a local authority
