Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and create a positive first impression
- Manage reservations and walk-in seating efficiently and speedily
- Escort guests to tables and provide menus
- Maintain an organised waitlist during busy periods
- Communicate clearly with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer enquiries / bookings and special requests
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the front-of-house area
- Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate when necessary
Requirements
- Previous experience in a host/hostess or customer-facing role preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, professional, and approachable demeanour
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stay calm under pressure in a busy environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
