THE ROLE

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for an experienced platform lift engineer ready to step up. You'll lead a small installation team on-site, combining technical delivery with mentoring, training and day-to-day team management — while remaining a practical, working engineer on every project.

You'll be trusted to run installations independently, manage your team's performance, and act as a technical resource for colleagues and external clients. If you've been doing the job for years and you're ready to own it — this is the opportunity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading the end-to-end installation and commissioning of platform lifts — on time, on budget, safely
  • Day-to-day leadership of the installation team including training and development of junior engineers
  • Providing technical support to internal teams and external clients
  • Delivering internal training on installation, maintenance and product knowledge
  • Carrying out servicing and breakdown support when required
  • Travelling to sites across the UK, including occasional Channel Islands projects
  • Contributing to continuous improvement — identifying better ways of working and sharing ideas
  • Undertaking additional duties in line with the seniority of the position

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in platform lift installation — hands-on and able to hit the ground running
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supervising an installation team
  • NVQ Level 2 Platform Lift Installation or equivalent Lift/Engineering qualification
  • CSCS card, PASMA, SSSTS — all required
  • Trained in: working at height, manual handling, asbestos awareness
  • Experience carrying out safe electrical works
  • Full UK driving licence — essential
  • Right to work in the UK without restriction

WHAT'S ON OFFER

  • A senior, influential role in a growing installation team
  • Real opportunity to lead, shape and develop a team
  • Varied projects across the UK
  • Competitive salary negotiable on experience
  • Company vehicle
  • A business that invests in its people and values technical expertise
