About the Role
I am seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to support a major data centre project. This freelance role will focus on delivering mechanical packages across design, install, and commissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical delivery across design, install & commissioning
- Manage subcontractors and site teams
- Review drawings and ensure compliance with standards
- Oversee HVAC, cooling and piping systems installation
- Support commissioning, testing, and handover
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on-site
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Lead Mechanical Engineer on data centres (essential)
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and building services systems
- Experience in freelance/contract roles
- Background in commissioning and project delivery
- Strong stakeholder and team management skills
