Learning Support Assistant

The school supports pupils aged 4 to 18 with a wide range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties, communication and interaction needs, and behaviours that can be challenging. • Provide support to pupils 1:1 and in small groups
• Assist in delivering tailored learning activities, including literacy and numeracy
• Encourage engagement, independence and positive behaviour
• Support pupils with personal care and physical needs where required
• Help maintain a safe, structured and engaging learning environment
• Contribute to tracking pupil progress and individual learning goals
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and wider professionals

• Full-time, permanent role – employed directly by the school
• Immediate start available
• Hours: 8.40am to 4.30pm
• Term-time position with ongoing CPD opportunities

• Minimum 6 months childcare experience (essential)
• Experience supporting children with SEN
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• A patient, resilient and flexible approach
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
