What We Offer
Salary:
Unqualified Lecturer: £29,294 per year, pro rata
Qualified Lecturer: £31,885 - £40,814 per year, pro rata (Depending on Skills, Qualifications & Experience)
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time – 22.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

What You’ll Do
• Teach and assess learners across a range of Biology programmes and related science qualifications
• Deliver engaging, inclusive lessons covering both theoretical and practical aspects of Biology
• Support learners in developing scientific understanding, analytical thinking, and laboratory skills
• Use creative and practical approaches to make Biology relevant to real-world applications and careers
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, professionalism, and learner wellbeing
• Track learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
What You’ll Bring
• A relevant Biology or Science qualification (Level 3 or above)
• Strong subject knowledge across areas such as human biology, cell biology, ecology, or genetics
• The ability to explain scientific concepts clearly and engage learners of all abilities
• Experience working with learners or supporting others in education or training
• Laboratory or industry experience within a science-related field is advantageous
• A commitment to inclusive teaching and learner success
• A teaching qualification (level 4 or above) is welcomed — but if you don’t have one yet, we’ll support you to achieve it while you work
