Salary: Unqualified Lecturer: £29,294 per year, pro rata Qualified Lecturer: £31,885 - £40,814 per year, pro rata

Qualified Lecturer: £31,885 – £40,814 per year, pro rata 
(Depending on Skills, Qualifications & Experience) 

🕰️ Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time 22.2 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

What You’ll Do 

• Teach and assess learners across a range of Sport & Public Services programmes, supporting learners from Level 1 through to Level 3 qualifications 
• Deliver engaging, practical, and industry-relevant lessons that develop fitness, teamwork, leadership, communication, and employability skills 
• Support learners to achieve qualifications and progress into employment, apprenticeships, higher education, or careers in sport, emergency services, or public sector organisations 
• Use practical and creative teaching approaches, including fitness activities, enrichment, outdoor learning, and scenario-based training to bring learning to life 
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, professionalism, health & safety, and learner wellbeing 
• Track learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement and personal development 
• Contribute to curriculum development and help create an inspiring and inclusive learning environment 

  

What You’ll Bring 

• A relevant qualification in Sport, Public Services, Uniformed Services, Sport Coaching, Fitness, Outdoor Education, or a related subject (Level 3 or above) 
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire learners through practical and engaging teaching 
• Industry experience within Sport, Fitness, Public Services, Armed Forces, Emergency Services, Coaching, or a related sector, or experience supporting learners in education or training 
• A commitment to inclusive teaching and learner success 
• A Level 4 teaching qualification or above is welcomed — but if you don’t have one yet, we’ll support you to achieve it while you work
