Level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEN)

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistants with a strong SEN focus to work across a trust of schools in the Chesterfield area on a flexible supply basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for passionate support staff who are committed to helping children with additional needs achieve their full potential while enjoying the flexibility and variety of supply work.

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEN Focus), you will:

• Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH
• Deliver targeted interventions and support learning on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Assist class teachers in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment
• Support pupils' emotional wellbeing, confidence, and independence
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff

Successful candidates will ideally have:

• A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN within a school environment
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
