Logistics Administrator
Brellis Recruitment
Logistics Administrator Coventry | £30,000 – £32,000 per annum | Permanent
Our client is a globally recognised business with a strong UK presence, supplying equipment and solutions to some of the world's leading brands. Based in Coventry, they're now looking for a Logistics Administrator to join the team and take ownership of their international supply chain coordination, with a particular focus on Far East imports.
Logistics Administrator Role
Reporting to the Senior Buyer, you'll be the central point of contact for coordinating inbound shipments from supplier to destination, whether that's a central logistics centre or direct to customer. You'll manage the full end-to-end process, from arranging transport and tracking shipments through to customs clearance and compliance documentation.
Day to day, you can expect to be:
- Coordinating international shipments and monitoring deliveries to ensure on-time performance
- Preparing and reviewing import/export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin
- Liaising with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and relevant authorities to ensure smooth clearance
- Monitoring duty payments, taxes, and customs-related charges
- Raising purchase orders and maintaining accurate logistics records within company systems
- Generating performance reports and providing regular updates to internal stakeholders
- Keeping up to date with changes to customs regulations and trade requirements
What We're Looking For in a Logistics Administrator
You'll need previous experience in a logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, or supply chain administration role, along with solid knowledge of import/export procedures and customs clearance processes. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities are essential, as is confidence with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems would be a bonus, as would knowledge of Incoterms or any customs/freight forwarding qualifications.
