What you’ll be doing
The Logistics Controller will be responsible for supporting the Logistics and Offtakes department in the management of deliveries and offtakes for the Lancashire Renewables network, to include the reconciliation of data in support of month end accounting and reporting.
What you will bring
To succeed in this role, it is essential that you have the following skills and knowledge:
- Strong administrative experience in a similar role.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Highly organised, accurate, and detail-focused
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage varied tasks to a high standard
- Professional, reliable, and able to work effectively under pressure
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Experienced in data handling, reporting, and customer query resolution

- Understanding of Duty of Care documentation and waste management legislation
- Understanding of purchasing or sales ledger.

Who are we?
Lancashire Renewables Ltd was established for the operation and management of the two waste treatment facilities built for the Lancashire Waste Contract.
Our two facilities in Thornton and Leyland are manned 365 days a year. Both sites can process over 5,000 tonnes of residual (black bin bag) waste per week and divert 95% of this material away from landfill.
Our aim is to achieve a sustainable future for Lancashire by providing services to process biodegradable and non-biodegradable household waste and our people are vital in helping us achieve this.
Our employees work in a variety of operations, maintenance, logistics and support roles across our two sites in Leyland and Thornton, actively encouraging internal growth through development and training programmes.
