We are recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator / Administrator to join a busy Hull-based business within the logistics and shipping sector.
This role would suit an experienced Logistics Administrator, Shipping Administrator, Import/Export Administrator, Freight Administrator or someone already working as a Logistics Coordinator who is looking to develop further.
Strong administrators from other busy office environments will also be considered, especially if you are keen to train, develop and build a long-term career within logistics and shipping.
You do not need to be the finished article, but you must be organised, confident communicating with customers and suppliers, and willing to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the day-to-day logistics operation
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, carriers and internal teams
- Assisting with bookings, documentation and shipment updates
- Arranging collections, deliveries and transport movements
- Updating systems and maintaining accurate records
- Handling paperwork, email queries and general administration
- Supporting import/export or customs processes where required
- Ensuring deadlines are met and customers are kept updated
- Helping resolve day-to-day operational queries
The Person:
- Experience in logistics, shipping, transport, import/export, customs or freight administration would be ideal
- Strong administrators from other busy office environments will also be considered
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Good attention to detail
- Confident using email, systems and Microsoft Office
- Able to work in a fast-paced office environment
- Positive, reliable and willing to learn
- A genuine interest in logistics, shipping or freight would be beneficial
