Location: Redditch
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday
Shift Options: 08:00–16:30 / 08:30–17:00 / 09:00–18:00 (choose one)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to join a fast-paced and dynamic transport operations team within a well-established logistics environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced candidates and entry-level applicants looking to build a career in logistics, as full training will be provided.

You will play a key role in coordinating urgent and time-sensitive transport solutions across the UK and Europe, ensuring efficient movement of goods and high levels of customer service.

This is a fully office-based position and hybrid working is not available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage customer enquiries and orders via phone and email, inputting data onto internal systems
  • Book, track, and coordinate time-critical shipments
  • Provide quotations for UK and European transport solutions
  • Deliver strong customer service and provide regular updates on job progress
  • Source and liaise with transport suppliers to secure appropriate solutions
  • Support urgent and escalation-based transport requirements (including line stoppages)
  • Obtain and process key documentation including PODs, purchase orders, and references
  • Close job files accurately and ensure system data integrity
  • Review transport routes and suppliers to improve cost efficiency and service levels
  • Maintain communication with warehouse and operational teams for effective planning
  • Ensure all jobs are completed and checked prior to invoicing
  • Carry out system housekeeping and maintain accurate records
  • Manage priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Escalate issues where necessary to ensure timely resolution
  • Support KPI monitoring and performance tracking

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Either experienced in logistics, freight forwarding, or transport coordination, or looking to start a career in the industry (training provided)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-critical environment
  • Strong in communication and customer service
  • Confident using IT systems, including MS Office, email, and spreadsheets
  • Willing to learn and develop within the role

Desirable:

  • Understanding of European transport planning
  • CPC qualification (advantageous but not essential)
