Logistics Coordinator

SourceCo Recruitment are looking for a Logistics Coordinator for a long-term client in the heart of Redditch.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently across the UK.

The Working Hours:

• Tuesday to Friday 19:00pm - 07:00am (will include some weekend working)

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage customer enquiries and orders via phone and email
• Plan, book, and track shipments across road and airfreight services
• Provide accurate quotations for UK and European transport
• Source and liaise with transport suppliers to deliver cost-effective solutions
• Handle time-critical and line stoppage situations with urgency
• Maintain regular communication with customers, providing updates on job progress
• Ensure accurate system input, job completion, and documentation management (PODs, purchase orders, etc.)
• Review routes and suppliers to maximise efficiency and profitability
• Coordinate closely with warehouse, operations, and accounts teams
• Monitor KPIs and ensure service levels are consistently achieved
• Maintain accurate system data and ensure timely file closure and invoicing readiness

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Proven experience within transport planning or freight forwarding
• Strong knowledge of UK and European transport operations
• Experience with time-critical, airfreight, and road freight solutions
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise under pressure
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in system/data management
• Computer literate (MS Office and transport systems)
• CPC qualification (advantageous but not essential)
