About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our secondary school team in Havering. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support students with a range of learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional needs
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Support students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
- Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Encourage student independence and confidence
- Assist with preparation of learning materials
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working with secondary school students (preferred)
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
