M&E Buyer - Immediate Start

📍 Location: Southwark
🕘 Hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm
📅 Contract: Temporary (2 months ongoing with potential to be extended)
💷 Pay: £16.00 - £20.00 per hour (depending on experience)

We're looking for a hands-on, M&E Buyer to jump straight into a fast-paced contractor environment and make an immediate impact. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy procurement function, where no two days are the same, to support live projects and keep materials flowing to site seamlessly.

You will play a key role in ensuring operations run smoothly, working closely with project and procurement teams.

What You'll Be Doing

• Sourcing and purchasing electrical and mechanical materials for multiple projects
• Managing supplier quotes, negotiating where possible, and placing orders efficiently
• Tracking deliveries and resolving any supply or logistics issues quickly
• Supporting project teams with material availability and alternatives when needed
• Maintaining strong supplier relationships and identifying new options in the market
• Handling invoice queries and ensuring procurement stays within budget and timelines

What We're Looking For

• Solid electrical M&E buying experience
• At least 2 years' experience within an electrical or mechanical supplier in the M&E sector
• Good product knowledge across electrical (essential) and some mechanical (desirable)
• Confident using Excel and Outlook
• CIPS qualification (or working towards) - a bonus, not essential
• Strong communicator with great attention to detail
• A team player
