Hours: 6:00am – 5:00pm

Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operative to join a busy manufacturing team in Tamworth. This role involves operating machinery at the beginning of the production process, specifically working with an extruder machine used in the manufacture of bricks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring machinery runs efficiently, maintaining production quality standards, and supporting the smooth flow of the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring extruder machinery used in brick production
• Setting up and adjusting machinery to maintain production output
• Carrying out basic machine checks and reporting faults when required
• Ensuring products meet quality and production standards
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Following all health and safety procedures at all times
• Working closely with the production team to meet daily targets

Requirements

• Previous machine operative or manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience operating extruder machinery is advantageous but not essential
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
