We are seeking to hire a Machine Operator to complement our expanding global business in the FMCG sector based at our Barlborough site.  If you are enthusiastic, focussed and ambitious with the desire to develop in a thriving business then this could be the role for you.

Experience

Proven experience operating multiple types of automated production or Assembly machinery, including packaging, end of line & automation

Background in manufacturing or industrial environments

Experience with machine changeovers, setups, and adjustments

Demonstrated ability to work in high‑volume or fast‑paced production settings

Experience following standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Technical Skills

Ability to operate and monitor a range of automated machines (primarily packaging & assembly)

Basic mechanical fault finding and first‑line maintenance

Understanding of tolerances and quality standards

Competent with production data recording systems or paperwork

Complete production to target output and quality standards

Maintain a clean and safe work area

Support continuous improvement activities

Health, Safety & Quality

Strong awareness of Health & Safety regulations

Knowledge of risk assessments and safe working practices

Commitment to quality control and inspection procedures

Ability to identify defects and take corrective action

Compliance with ISO / GMP / Lean / 5S standards (where applicable)

Personal Attributes

Flexible and willing to operate across different machines and departments

Reliable with a strong work ethic

Good problem‑solving and decision‑making skills

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Good communication skills

Willingness to learn and develop new skills

Working Conditions

Ability to work shift patterns and optional overtime

Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (noise, PPE, temperature variation)

Practical

£13.89 per hour/£29,000 per annum

Company Pension:  up to 7% company contribution
