We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Machine Setter to join a successful and well-established company.

The Role – Machine Setter
As a Machine Setter, you’ll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining production machinery to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing runs.
You’ll play a key part in driving performance, maintaining product standards, and supporting continuous improvement within the production team.
Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate production machinery according to product requirements

Monitor production quality, including thickness, width, and output consistency

Identify and resolve mechanical or process issues quickly and effectively

Ensure changeovers and shift handovers run smoothly

Minimise stoppages and downtime through proactive problem-solving

Complete production and quality documentation accurately

Work closely with engineers and shift managers to resolve technical issues

Maintain high housekeeping and Health & Safety standards at all times
We’re looking for someone who has:

Previous experience as a Machine Setter, Production Operator, or Process Technician (within manufacturing or engineering)

PVC extrusion machine experience – highly sought after

Understanding of mechanical processes, raw materials, and production systems

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to interpret data and identify trends

Calm and logical decision-making under pressure

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements with a proactive safety mindset

Shift allowance and overtime pay for additional hours

Typical hours: 40–50 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern
