JOB DESCRIPTION:
Electrician required for a leading Facilities Management company to carry out planned, reactive and preventative maintenance on a large commercial building in Lerwick, Shetland. Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Electrician to join their growing team on a permanent basis. This role will be working Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (38.75 hours per week), with participation in an on-call rota.
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Planned and reactive electrical maintenance
- Electrical testing, inspections and fault finding
- Completing NICEIC documentation and reports
- Working safely in line with health & safety regulations
- Using PDA/tablet systems to manage workloads
- Supporting permit-to-work systems and site compliance
- Assisting wider FM teams when required
- Maintaining plant, equipment and building services
Requirements for the role:
- City & Guilds 2382-22 18th Edition
- Experience working within Facilities Management or critical environments
- Knowledge of EMS and BMS systems
- Experience carrying out electrical testing and certification
- Strong health & safety awareness
- Good IT skills
