The Role
 

A well-established heavy industrial manufacturer is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join its engineering team. Working alongside a Mechanical Fitter, you’ll carry out planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, and installation work on factory/process machinery.


 

Key Duties
 



    • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)



    • Reactive breakdown repairs



    • Installation and maintenance of factory/process machinery



    • Fault finding on 415V, 240V, 110V & 24VAC/DC systems



    • Reading/interpreting electrical drawings



    • PLC fault finding (I/O checks only)



    • Overhead crane fault diagnosis



    • Maintenance of lighting, alarms & emergency systems



    • Basic control panel building & CCTV design



    • Completing shift reports and working safely





       


Requirements
 



    • Time Served / Apprenticeship preferred



    • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Maintenance



    • 18th Edition desirable



    • Heavy industrial experience essential



    • Slitting/decoiling machinery experience advantageous



    • Full UK Driving Licence preferred





       


 


 



    • Fuse checks



    • Continuity testing



    • Insulation resistance testing



    • Motor winding continuity testing



    • Equipment identification



    • Live testing



    • Reading electrical drawings



      Shift Pattern (40 hrs/week)
 
Mon–Fri | 6am–2pm / Mon–Thurs | 8pm–6am / Mon–Thurs | 2pm–12am
