An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join a leading food manufacturing business in South Wales.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is looking to join a business that invests in its people, equipment and continuous improvement initiatives.
You'll play a key role in ensuring production equipment operates efficiently, minimising downtime and supporting the site in delivering operational targets.
The Role:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across a range of food manufacturing equipment
- Responding to breakdowns and carrying out fault finding to minimise downtime
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on machinery and production lines
- Supporting continuous improvement projects and engineering upgrades
- Working closely with Production and Technical teams to improve equipment reliability and performance
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and completing engineering documentation
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures
- Supporting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurring issues
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar fast-paced production environment
- Electrically biased with strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent)
- Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance systems
- A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider engineering team
