An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Technician to join a busy and fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering multi-skilled maintenance support to ensure the efficient operation of plant and equipment, minimising downtime and maintaining high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Provide reactive maintenance support, including rapid response to breakdowns
  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance to optimise equipment reliability
  • Repair or replace faulty components and assemblies
  • Perform routine servicing of plant equipment including motors, valves, and systems
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and improvement of equipment
  • Monitor plant performance and identify potential faults or inefficiencies
  • Interpret technical drawings and schematics to support troubleshooting
  • Carry out welding and fabrication tasks as required
  • Maintain maintenance records and manage spare parts inventory
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with site Health & Safety procedures, permits, and risk assessments
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role (mechanical and electrical)
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
  • Welding/fabrication experience
  • Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive approach with strong attention to detail
  • Basic IT skills
  • Flexible attitude to working hours, including occasional weekends
  • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces
  • Full adherence to safe systems of work and PPE requirements
Desirable
  • Previous experience supervising maintenance activities
