Maintenance Engineer Nights

Our client is a very successful manufacturing business and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Maintenance Engineer (Nights Monday to Thursday).

The successful applicant will undertake mechanical and electrical maintenance activities at our client's busy manufacturing plant near Rochdale.

Excellent basic salary £54K per annum + Bonus + OT

The Role:

The Nightshift Maintenance Engineer will work as part of a team amd will undertkae planned and reactive maintenance activities at a busy FMCG production facility.
Duties will include but is not limited to;

• Mechanical fault find and repair of packaging machinery, conversion plant, automated cutting and folding machinery, high pressure systems, conveyors and more
• 3-phase electrical fault find and repair contactors, sensors, relays, switch gear, motors etc etc
• Plc fault find and repair and working with HMI's & SCADA systems
• Gearboxes, bearings, shafts, etc etc
• Hydraulics, pneumatics,
• Motors, pumps, valves etc etc
• Welding fabrication and toolroom work
• Some facilities maintenance
• PPM's

Candidate:

The successful candidate will be an experienced maintenance engineer with excellent mechanical and electrical engineering skills.

Applicants with previous experience in maintenance and repair of FMCG machinery such as conveyor systems, conversion machinery, cutting and folding machines, presses will be beneficial but not essential.
Must be conversant with SCADA systems and have excellent electrical and mechanical fault find and repair skills.

We are seeking applicants who ideally have a minimum NVQ 3 certification in either mechanical or electrical engineering. However time served engineers will be considered.

Hours of work:

Monday to Thursday Nights 9.30pm to 6.15am
Overtime available
