Monday to Friday | 9am – 5pm | Permanent Position | Salary £38,000

SourceCo Recruitment are currently hiring for a Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a trusted and reputable manufacturing business operating within the plastics sector.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to join a stable and growing company where you’ll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently through planned and reactive maintenance across site equipment and machinery.

The role would suit someone with a strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background who enjoys problem solving, working independently, and being hands on within a fast paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Responding quickly and effectively to machinery breakdowns
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
• Conducting routine inspections across plant equipment
• Assisting with machinery installations and upgrades
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records
• Supporting general upkeep of the site and facilities
• Managing and maintaining spare parts stock
• Ensuring equipment is maintained safely and efficiently at all times

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience within a maintenance engineering role
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault finding skills
• Experience working within manufacturing or production environments
• Electrical qualifications such as City & Guilds or equivalent preferred
• Experience within plastics/PVC manufacturing would be advantageous
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and a proactive attitude
