Location: Wellingborough (must live within a 30 minute commutable distance due to on call)
Hours: Rotating Shift Pattern 0600 - 1430 / 1330 - 2200 + on call rota
Salary: £51,550 (incl On call Allowance) + excellent benefits
Right to work in the UK required (no sponsorship available)

The Role
As a multi skilled maintenance engineer, you will be involved in the following
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance to maximise up time and equipment performance.
- Carry out reactive maintenance responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns to minimise disruption.
- Diagnosing and repairing faults across a range of production machinery.
- Working safely in line with SSOW, risk assessments, SOPs and company policies.
- Completing PPMs and reactive tasks within agreed time frames.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records (manual and electronic).
- Ensuring all repairs are validated by engineering supervision and production teams.
- Keeping the workshop organised, safe and compliant, including correct parts usage.
- Participate in emergency call out arrangements (13 times per year)
Experience Required
To be considered for this role, the successful candidate will have the following
- Electrical qualification - 18th / 19th edition or equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering qualification
- Experience of working with production process machinery, e.g. granulators, belt conveyors, hammer mills, extrusion machines, colour separators, gearboxes, bearings, rollers, shafts etc.
- To diagnose faults and to test, repair and maintain electrical equipment
- Able to read and understand electrical drawings
- A proactive, solutions focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team ethic.
- Confident using PC‑based software.
- Reliable, organised and committed to high standards.
- Positive attitude and able to work shifts
