A leading automated distribution operation is looking for a skilled Multi-Skilled Automation Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team at a highly automated site in Chelmsford.
This is a great opportunity to work with state-of-the-art automation equipment in a fast-paced environment, supporting critical operations and continuous improvement projects.
The Role
- Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on automated equipment
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
- Support continuous improvement and reliability projects
- Work closely with engineering and operational teams to minimise downtime
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and fault reports
- Support site performance through proactive engineering solutions
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 / ONC or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience working on automated machinery or production equipment
- PLC fault-finding experience preferred
- Strong understanding of health & safety
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Full UK driving licence
Shift Pattern This role operates across early, late and night shifts on a rotating basis, including occasional weekend cover and overtime.
