Maintenance Technician

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing business for a Maintenance Technician to join their engineering team. The Role

Working as part of a close-knit team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment across the site. This position is mechanically biased, general mechanical maintenance, rather than heavily electrical or control-based work.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on machinery and equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime
• Respond to breakdowns and perform effective fault finding
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report recurring issues
• Work collaboratively with production teams to improve equipment reliability
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards

About You

• Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Engineering.
• Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or technical environment
• Strong mechanical maintenance skills
• Ability to prioritise workload and work efficiently under pressure
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Desirable:

• Engineering apprenticeship
• Basic electrical or PLC fault-finding knowledge

Applicants with vehicle maintenance or automotive mechanical experience are encouraged to apply, skills are highly transferable to this role.
