We are seeking to appoint a Managing Director to lead Bowers Group into its next phase of growth, performance, and innovation.

Bowers Group is internationally recognised for high-quality metrology solutions, serving aerospace, automotive, medical, and advanced manufacturing sectors. With a strong brand portfolio and global reach, this is a rare opportunity to lead a business with both heritage strength and significant future potential.

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Group Managing Director, you will hold full P&L responsibility for a £15M, multi-site business employing circa 90 people.

You will:

• Define and execute the strategic direction, aligning with wider Group objectives

• Lead, develop, and align a high-calibre senior leadership team

• Drive profitable growth through commercial excellence and market expansion

• Enhance operational performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement

• Oversee financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and governance

• Act as the public face of the business with customers, partners, and stakeholders

The Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking a commercially astute and credible senior leader, with experience operating at Managing Director or General Manager level within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

You will bring:

• A proven track record of delivering financial and operational performance

• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across commercial, operational, and technical functions

• Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and decision-making capability

• A track record of driving growth, transformation, or change initiatives

• Gravitas and credibility to operate effectively at Board level
